Audiobook Series - Thriller - Lee Child - Jack Reacher.
All Audiobooks in the series, Cleaned, Have covers and metadata, commonly renamed, then all files are Zipped and renamed to .zab (zab = Zipped Audio Book)

Simply rename the .zab back to .zip and unzip to uncompress it

(Zipping is not for size... not all audiobooks are single mp3 files, some are chapterized or time sliced multiple files, have covers or playlists, or may be formats other than mp3 (like m4a or flac.... some systems also block zips, and some software (like my calibre) assume zips are ebooks)

Renaming to ZAB is so they can coexist with zips of ebooks and be added to library managers (like calibre)...
Most Library Managers "Assume" that zip's are archives of ebooks, This ZAB suffix lets them coexist in most ebook library managers

All Audiobooks in the series ALSO have covers (.jpg) AND metadata (.opf) with filenames consistant with the Audiobook itself (.zab)
The .opf file (Metadata) and the .jpg (cover) load into library managers (so you can have an Audiobook AND cover AND metadata in programs (like Calibre), looks like an ebook with a zab format but is actually an Audiobook)

note you can NOT use the add books from archive option, but you CAN simply add em by Drag'n'Drop em from a "file explorer" to a calibre library page.

a real neat way to use em is to use a free open sourced media player that plays zips (or zabs) (like the free/open source Vlc Media Player, download at
, and in the registry just tell it to play/open .zab with vlcplayer, click on the audiobook in calibre and it plays)

Since the Authors/series/title are the same for the Ebook series torrents (by the same name but with "Ebook Series" instead of "Audiobook Series") they can easily be merged in one calibre library and give you BOTH formats in one book

Advanced Info
Each "series" consists of a master "folder" with the genre, author, seriesname, number of books in series. and then a series of files in that folder
with the filename genre - Author - Series Name - Series Number - Title
There is one major annoyance, most standard applications ONLY allow Numbers for series index.
I use a custom field (defined as text) to allow Alpha stuff (like Box Set, Omnibus, nn of nn etc) to be in the custom column/field #extendedseriesindex
(and the field #extendedseriesname has series copiied to it and any invalid filename characters like dash/-, colon/:, or ampersand/& converted to underscrore/_), both of those custom fields (and a 3rd #extendedseriesgenre) are all entries in the Metadata and CSS, and will be populated if your library has those fields defined when added. Those custom fields are copied to the standard field (and the text is converted to a number only (or 0) for standard users... ie add these custom fields, import/add these books and they will be populated during import/add)
Towards that end, The same "folder/file/structure" is used for ebooks too. While the .zab is a zipped Audiobook, any other formats can be saved in the same folder (.epubs .pdf's .lit etc). There are multiple files with the same (partial) names. A Cover is (.jpg) and Metadata is (.opf), and then any number of files in different formats can be in the folder. As I mentioned before, I use Calibre as a library manager, This design allows the Audiobook, Cover, Metadata, and various ebook formats all to be in the same folder with simiilar names. Then if a format that supports covers or metadata internally (like .epub) is used, that internal info is used, but if a format doesn't support metadata and covers those are in seperate files are used instead (audiobook formats do NOT support internal covers or metadata, however epubs do, so there is no need for separate covers and metadata files with epubs, they are already internal for epubs)

Some people prefer the hunt for all books in a series, some prefer them all together in one "chunk".....
Since I wrote python programs to autocreate torrents for ebook series in calibre,
and I added Audiobooks to my calibre Library, seemed to make sense to tweak the program to autocreate audiobook series torrents too, so you will find many references to Calibre in my Notes/Info

The Metadata in the book itself (or in the .opf file) sometimes has multiple authors, but the filename always shows only a single author
Due to filename length constraints, sometimes the title is truncated and the extra is in the custom field #titleparttwo
