I really like your article a lot. Aalthough I think I felt all exactly the same thing you did, I don't explain it the same way in my case.

When you talk about the battle that you fought against something that, in fact, you didn't want to fight, but didn't have a choice, you explain it as a fight against your heart. I explain mine as a fight against the religion which included comforting beliefs and friends that were my reason for living. When my reason took over and that I realized that these things, although comforting, were in fact a prison, and that I had to choose between a comfortable prison and forced work that came with it, or freedom which I was thought almost all my life to be scared of, only then did my heart have to agree with my reason, and, yes, that hurt.

I had forced my reason to be silent for a long time. Now, I could let it out because my heart was in accordance with it. Then, I can say that my heart was bruised mostly by the fact of realizing that all that I worked for all that time was in fact an enemy, and also the fact of having to accept that loved ones are in his hands and that there is nothing I can do against that. Yes, the battle field in my heart is a desert now, and there's a lot to rebuild. Rehabilitation is slow, as you say. But I have no doubt that I didn't fight against my heart, I fought for him. And I think you did too.

Your article is very well written, and very deep. It shows that you're a thinker.

Thanks for reading me Anonymous,

Dear A: You remind me of a friend who had so much hate after he left the IDMR. Please know that by forgiving all the ignorance and fear that led you to this moment, you can let that go and be free of it and all its aftermath. You made the important first step which was to recognize and change. The rest takes forgiving and healing over time. If you need help, I am glad to help you walk and talk through it so it will go faster and smoother. Your grief process is your own, it is your own special path so please be free to make the most of your journey and understand each step is helping you and serves a purpose. Each thought and emotion and phase is there for a reason. Take care, bless you and thanks for sharing. emilynghiem at hotmail.com
